6 Steps to Optimizing a Mobile Website You Need To Know

Most people who search using a mobile phone are motivated searchers. They want information quickly and are ready to make a purchase or get information. They are usually not ready to wait until they get to a computer with a connection and that's why they are using the phone.

The implication of this is that for any marketer who makes his mobile site visible by optimizing it, he is sure to make a sale or provide important information when required.

Here are 5 important things you need to do to optimize your website...

1. Make your website user-friendly.Your mobile website structure needs to be friendly to the crawlers and mobile devices. That means your website needs to be friendly to certain smart phones that your are targeting. It would be beneficial to know the type of devices your ideal customers have. If a majority have blackberries, then it makes sense to have a website that is easily seen and ranks high for blackberry searches.

2. Select keywords carefully. Keywords are what your website is all about. If you provide mobile website designing, you want someone searching to find you at the top of search results. Start by knowing how people search. What words do they type on search engines? What is the global and local search of those words? What is the competition of those keywords? Spend time researching on keywords or get a SEO expert to help you.

3. Have relevant content. When you type 'mobile marketing' on Google, the search engines crawlers will review all the websites with that word and decide which are the most relevant and bring the search results to you. Relevance comes from the content on your website. And if you get the keywords right, then your content needs to be around those keywords. Have the keyword on your headline when writing articles and let it appear two or three times on your article body. If you use it too much, word density will be detected and the crawlers will ignore your website.

4. Have links in other websites that point to yours.Get links from other highly relevant sites, directories and sites that command authority. These are sites that are highly ranked say Alexa ranking of below 5000. You may post comments and deposit your website link if allowed. You can write articles and leave your link there. You can answer questions or anything than allows to leave your website link.

5. Submit the website to directories. These are areas where different resources are gathered where there are enormous collections of links to various sites arranged mostly alphabetically. Examples are Google, Yahoo DMOZ.

You submit your site to directories: to get your website indexed; to improvement in search engine rankings; to help in targeting specific keywords which improves website visibility.

6. Monitor. Other websites will be competing for top positions with your keyword. Remember if it is a keyword with no competition it means nobody is searching it and that means you are not in business. What is needed is for you to monitor your progress. One day you will rank first the next day you may be second or third. You should be working tirelessly to rank high; always tweaking your content and making it relevant to the search engines.

7 Steps To A Successful Mobile Consulting Business

If you are a mobile marketing consultant, you can grow your business to unimaginable levels. You don't need big capital connections or tremendous charisma to do this. Here are 7 steps that can accelerate your success.

Step 1. Continuously develop and grow your list

Searching for great clients can take time, but the satisfaction that comes from a low-maintenance, big paying client base is fantastic. In this era of strict anti spamming laws, nothing is as important as your customer list. In fact, this should be a process that never ends.

Step 2. Have a mobile website

Having a mobile website helps you showcase your skills and expertise. A well-optimized website will also bring your targeted traffic and potential clients. You can use your website to test performance of different mobile devices that will help you when advising clients.

Step 3. Sharpen your communication skills

Communication is crucial to your success as a consultant. You must express yourself in the right way and use the right words. The best way to improve your skills is by reading other great works and practicing.

Step 4. Master marketing skills

No business can survive in the long run without superior marketing skills. You need to strive to understand human nature. What makes people buy? How do they arrive at buying decisions? What is buyer remorse? How do the various marketing mediums affect sales? Is direct response marketing better than general marketing?

Step 5. Fall in love with your clients

The Merriam Webstar dictionary defines a client as: one that is under the protection of another. That means you don't sell more than necessary you do not under provide a solution; you put your clients first and not money. You are like a parent to your clients. And it is difficult to think of a parent who would take a meal and leave his children to sleep hungry or one who would take off and leave his children behind when an enemy attacks.

When you fall in love with your clients you will always be thinking of how to bring more value to them. You will be figuring out how the new technological changes will affect your client's businesses. You will be asking them if they need any help; they will certainly love you for that and will pay you handsomely.

Step 6. Communicate with your clients

You should communicate with your clients a minimum of once a month. Weekly or twice week is even better. The more the communication the stronger the bonding. So what do you tell them? Well, tell them about the latest development in the mobile industry; show them how SMS campaigns can bring immense benefit to their lives. Educate them continuously without tiring.

Sometimes it may feel scaring to be writing emails, text messages without any feedback. You have no idea if people actually read your correspondence and if they do what value they are getting. You need to realize that people are lazy and may not take time to comment on you emails.

Step 7. Offer free trial

Let your clients test your skills before asking for a sale. It is possible to do this for some services. And where this is unlikely give a guarantee.
