Five Tips for Making Money Online on a Micro Job Site

Micro job sites are increasing in popularity and for very good reasons. Firstly, it enables virtually anyone to make some very good income by offering their skills on a casual basis. You can work whenever you want, doing what you enjoy and get paid well for it. On the other hand, if you are a business owner or someone who needs a specific job done, you get a great piece of work for a much lower price. And for both buyer and seller the work can be completed quickly and efficiently.

However, many people struggle to get many (if any) job assignments from the micro sites they list on. Here are five things yo can do to maximize your sales and income:
Offer jobs that are in demand. Think about what you can do that a large number of people would want. They may well be things that other people might find to be monotonous or too specialized. It isn't much use to offer something which hardly anyone would want, yet there are many sellers who make this mistake.
Price it right. Look at what others are selling similar services for. You don't need to be the cheapest, but you do need to be competitive.
Create a great profile. Talk a bit about yourself and why you are listing jobs for sale. Above all you want to communicate your professionalism and your passion for providing a great service. Buyers want to know you will be reliable and do a great job.
Go the extra mile for the first few jobs you do so that you get great reviews. Many buyers will make their decision on who to hire by looking at reviews. If you can stand out as being an exceptional worker you have a much better chance of being selected.
List your jobs on multiple sites. Buyers are looking on many sites for jobs to be done. If you are listed on a few good micro job sites you increase your chances of picking up jobs. You don't need to be on dozens of sites, but five or six is a good number. Also select at least a couple of sites that are quite new. There will be fewer people competing with you.

Offering your services on micro job sites is a great way to make some additional money online. You might even find it can turn into a fulltime income. Following the tips above can help increase your chances of success.

What to Sell on a Micro Job Site to Make the Most Money Fast

Micro job sites are becoming enormously popular these days as a way to make some fast an easy money online. However, most people run into two problems that mean they don't make much money, if indeed anything at all. The mistakes they make are:

Offering jobs (also called 'gigs') that not many people are interested in. This means they have a very small market for the job so they don't get many buyers.
Offering jobs that take them too much time to do. If you are making only $4 per job, which is what you will get for a $5 job after the site takes its 20% commission, then if it takes you an hour to do it it will take you a long time to make any significant money.

Although the above might seem obvious, probably 90% of all people who try to make money on a micro job site do these things. If you really want to make some great money on one of these sites (and it really isn't that difficult to do), then you must do the following:

Sit down and carefully think through all of the different things you could do to earn money from one of these sites. Think about your skills and talents. You could even look at what other people are offering to get some ideas, but the bet will come from examining what you are good at and what you enjoy.
Make a list of the ideas and put them in order of how much time they will take you to do, how much you think you could charge for them and how big you think the market demand will be.
What you will achieve by doing this is that you will see one or two things that will take you very little time, will be valuable to others and for which there will a high demand. These are the things you want to focus on!

If you don't immediately find one or two of these 'golden nuggets', play around with your list of ideas. Can each of your ideas be tweaked or looked at in a different way. For instance, if writing is of your skills and you enjoy it, you might think of writing articles as a job. However, you might also realize that writing articles over and over would be very time consuming. What if you could write a report on your topic? You might be able to sell it over and over again, even though you only spent the time once to write it.

Once you have found your great ideas for jobs, sign up for a few different sites and see how they go. You will probably find that one site does better for you than the others. If you put more effort into your profile on that site you will gain a higher profile and then more jobs will come your way (it is a bit of a snowball effect).

With a little bit of preparation and thought beforehand, the results you get from a micro job site and the amount of money you can make from them can be dramatically better. It is very possible to make good money online from these sites - you just have to be intelligent in the way you go about it.
